David Gambier - Managing Director
Our goal at Great Experience Travel is to make sure you have the best holiday possible. Our team of knowledgeable specialists have more than 90 years travel industry experience behind them can help you find the perfect trip for you, no matter your budget or desired location.
I have many years of experience in the travel industry, starting in 1981 when I went into the ski business for 9 years before moving on to organising travel and tickets for the Olympic Games and other international sports events during 17 years spent working at Sportsworld Group.
I founded Great Experience Travel in 2007 after working as a director for various travel companies and tour operators. With a background as a German and French translator and experience as a ski instructor in Austria and Switzerland, I have a unique perspective on travel.
I specialise in long-haul touring and lakes and mountains- whether hiking up them in summer or skiing down them in winter and I am also the businesses rail specialist around Europe and further afield.
Mandy
Mandy has been working as a travel agent for many years and has a wealth of experience to show for it. She started on her 16th birthday and worked as a travel company rep in the Greek islands. Her favorite destinations include the Maldives (she’s visited over 20 islands!), the Seychelles, and also Mauritius. She is also an expert on Disney and cruise holidays. Being the mother of two older kids, Mandy knows how to find great value holidays for families during school breaks and avoid peak-time price hikes.
Sally
Sally has been a valuable addition to our team, bringing over 20 years of experience from Thomas Cook. She is a cruise specialist with unparalleled knowledge and expertise in classic holiday destinations across Europe, and if there’s a great deal to be had, she knows exactly where and how to find it! Combining her experience with David and Mandy’s means that there aren’t many destinations across the globe which between then, they haven’t visited. Sally is well-connected with top wedding and honeymoon suppliers like Sandals.
Sarah
Sarah brings 20+ years of retail management and customer experience to her role as a travel agent. Her goal is to make travel accessible to everyone and she is constantly learning and expanding her knowledge to do so. With a passion for Disney destinations and a bucket list of exploring the world with her husband and two boys, she is particularly knowledgeable about New York, Barbados, UAE, and city breaks across the globe.
Martin
Martin’s passion for travel caught the eye of the manager at the travel agency his family used, who offered him a weekend job that eventually led to a career organising holidays. Martin has travelled to every corner of the globe, gaining valuable knowledge and experience that he uses to plan dream trips for clients.
Daniella
As Great Experience Travel’s part-time web & social media consultant and full-time IT professional, she brings expertise in Northern Lights and travel experience in Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Florida, and New York. She’s a classical singer with a love of adventure, having performed at various locations such as the Royal Albert Hall and cathedrals across Europe, but has a passion for mountains, skiing, snowboarding and theme parks.
Amy
Amy is the latest addition to the Great Experience Travel Team. She started her career in travel by becoming a travel rep in Turkey, where she fell in love and lived for more than 10 years before she and her husband returned to the UK. Her knowledge of all parts of Turkey is obviously second-to-none, but she also loves Disney, cruises, and many other destinations across Europe and further afield. As a Mum of young kids, she is great at finding holidays to fit hard-pressed family budgets.
