We’re delighted to give you details of our honeymoon which has been put together for us by David at Great Experience Travel in Witney.

We went through lots of different ideas as to possible destination but then David suggested a wildlife adventure to Malaysia and we fell in love with the idea straight-away.

We are flying off to Malaysia’s exciting capital of Kuala Lumpur for a few days when we will have the chance to see the famous Petronas Towers and the Batu Caves. We will also have an opportunity to see the different styles of architecture – lots of which dates from Malaysia’s colonial past.
From KL, we will fly on to Kota Kinabalu – the main city Malaysian Borneo, where we will be staying on a luxury hotel on the South China Sea with all the creature comforts at our beck and call.

We will be able to enjoy all the beauty of staying on a beautiful beach with amazing snorkelling and other watersports. We can also head off to interesting places such as the Poring Hot Springs, a canopy walk through the rain forest or even trek up to the base camp of Mount Kinabalu – Southeast Asia’s highest mountain.

We will then take a break from the difficult decisions of what cocktail to drink next or whether to go for another swim or spa treatment and will fly over to Sandakan where our wildlife safari gets underway.

Over the next few days, we will have a chance to see leather-backed turtles, monkeys, incredible bird-life, sun-bears and Borneo’s most famous creature – the ‘wild man of the jungle’, the wonderful and incredibly human Orangutans.

After a last few days soaking up the sun on the beach, we will be boarding the flight back to Kuala Lumpur and then home to London.
