Hi Everybody,

We wanted to give you an update on our honeymoon plans. Mandy at Great Experience Travel in Witney has put together a fabulous trip for us to the beautiful Mexican resort of Cancun.

However, we are avoiding the built-up area that so many people know about and are going to our own remote hotel in the heart of the Riviera Maya surrounded by jungle and with a spectacular mix of stunning natural surroundings close at hand.

The hotel even has its own nature reserve which we hope to explore. It’s also next door to the famous Xcaret eco-archaeological park where we will be able to see ancient Mayan ruins and learn more about their life-style and culture.

We are, of course, not expecting this trip to be all Indiana Jones experiences and excitement – it’s our honeymoon after all, so after the stress of the wedding, some rest and relaxation will be required.
In addition to its fabulous location, the hotel also boasts 11 bars, 11 restaurants, 7 swimming pools, a state of the art spa complex and its own beautiful white sandy cove beach where we’ll have the opportunity for some sun-worshipping and a bit of watersports for when we are feeling athletic.
